Alpha Series: Aluminum Outdoor Grill Cabinets with Storage

Green ceramic grill on outdoor kitchen cabinet

When we started designing grill cabinets in 2016, there were other options on the market.

But not within the price range (or up to the quality standards) we wanted.

We created our own grill cabinet design so we could offer a high-quality grill cabinet with mid-range pricing.

Today, we hand-weld each of our grill cabinets—made for beginner, intermediate, and advanced BBQ enthusiasts.

Where it Started

As a Big Green Egg retailer, we wanted a grill cabinet that matched the performance of the ceramic grill.

There were high-end cabinets and low-end cabinets, but nothing in-between.

We came up with three main options for BBQers: the Solo, Duo, and Trio grill cabinets.

As the names suggest, the Solo grill cabinet has one set of doors, the Duo has two storage areas, and the Trio has three.

Each of these aluminum cabinets are made for a Big Green Egg Large or XL, the Kamado Joe 18” or the 24”, the Primo 18.5, L 300, or XL 400, or gas grills.

Whether you’ve been in the BBQ world long or not, here’s our best recommendations for our grill cabinets.

The Duo Grill Cabinet: Best Grill Cabinet for Beginners

Starting off in the world of smoking and BBQing can feel intimidating.

Especially when you’re trying to find the best equipment to get started on the right foot.

When it comes to grill cabinet options for beginners, we recommend our Duo grill cabinet.

You might’ve thought we’d say the Solo, but the Duo grill cabinet is our top choice for those who want extra storage space and a nice layout for food prep.

This grill cabinet fits nicely onto most patios with all the efficiency of an outdoor kitchen.

The Solo Grill Cabinet: Best Grill Cabinet for Small Spaces

For someone wanting a compact high-quality grill cart, our Solo grill cabinet is the way to go.

Like all our cabinets, the Solo has wheels installed that move over smooth or rough terrain, making it especially mobile.

Additionally, the Solo grill cabinet is a good alternative to the basic “nest-style” grill carts (by Kamado Joe) and cheaper than our Duo and Trio models.

But don’t let the price drop fool you.

The Solo grill cabinet includes all the same materials as our other cabinets and is just as reliable.

The Trio Grill Cabinet: Best Grill Cabinet for Backyard BBQs

The Trio grill cabinet is for that person who is constantly grilling and can’t seem to get enough of it.

This grill cabinet holds one to two Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, Primo, or gas grills.

Your grill can be placed on the right side, left side, or middle.

Or you can include two grills with space in middle for food prep.

To take it up a notch, you can use the Accessory cabinet as your prep area for additional space. We’ll talk about that next.

The Accessory Grill Cabinet: Best Grill Cabinet for BBQ Equipment Storage

Our Accessory cabinet comes with the same options as the Single, Duo, and Trio cabinets—aluminum framing, heavy-duty doors and drawers, and wheels for any terrain.

However, this cabinet works as a nice prep table with space for storing utensils inside (instead of an area for grilling).

The Accessory grill cabinet can be used for catering, backyard grilling, and BBQ cookouts per your liking.

And with the ability to customize the number of doors and drawers you want, you’ll always have the exact setup you want at your disposal.

Grill Cabinet Colors & Sizes

Made from aluminum framing, all our cabinets are completed with a powder-coated finish.

There is some variation between cabinet sizes, but the following sizes are standard for each model.

Solo Grill Cabinet Dimensions: 23-29” wide, 49-55” long,34” high

Duo Grill Cabinet Dimensions: 23-29” wide, 49-57” long,34” high

Trio Grill Cabinet Dimensions: 34” high, length and width vary by grill brand

We also offer a Pellet grill cabinet, built specifically to add more storage and prep space around your pellet grill. The length and width of this pellet grill cabinet varies based on the size of your grill.

After you’ve decided on your grill cabinet, then comes picking between the following colors:

  • Two hardware color options: Black and Stainless Steel
  • Three cabinet color options: Silver Vein, Tuxedo Black, and Weather Vein
  • Six door color options: Black, Charcoal Gray, Dolphin Gray, Evergreen, Mocha Brown, and Slate

Prices stay the same for these grill cabinets regardless of the colors you choose, but the cost fluctuates based on the type of ceramic grill you have.

We design grill cabinets for:

In this lineup, grill cabinets for the The Big Green Egg 18” Large are the least expensive, and grill cabinets for Primo Oval XL 400 are the most expensive.

Grill Cabinet Designs

From the Solo to the Trio, all our grill cabinets are made for the Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, or Primo ceramic-style plus gas-style grills.

But our Duo cabinets offer a variety of styles, and all our other cabinets can be customized.

Within the Duo line, there’s also the Duo w/Drawer and the Duo Max grill cabinets.

Duo w/Drawer Grill Cabinet

The Duo w/Drawer comes with a set of doors on both the left and right side, with a drawer above the right set of doors. Plus, soft-close concealed hinges and an aluminum towel bar are optional.

This grill cabinet offers a perfect layout for food prep and plenty of storage for BBQ equipment and utensils.

Duo Max Grill Cabinet

The Duo Max offers the same amount of space to prepare food and a drawer, but this drawer is hidden behind a single closed door on the right side. This setup means you need to open the door to get to your utensil drawer while grilling, so it’s not quite as efficient as the Duo w/Drawer.

For those who are watching their budget, this cabinet costs more than the Solo but less than the Duo.

Trio Grill Cabinet

Aside from our Accessory grill cabinet, the Trio offers the most space. From one to two grill slots, the setup of the Trio Grill Cabinet is up to you!

This cabinet has three sets of doors but can include as many doors and drawers as you like. Adding a towel bar and using hidden hinges are other possibilities.

On this cabinet, the grill can be on the left, in the middle, or on the right. Two grills can also fit beside each other or spaced apart.

With plenty of storage cabinets and a grilling area, think of the Trio grill cabinet as an outdoor kitchen on wheels.

Why to Choose an Alpha Series Grill Cabinet

If you’re wondering what sets our grill cabinets apart from other options on the market, then know that we’ve asked ourselves the same question.

We didn’t just want to create a grill cabinet design that “worked.”

Some of the core things we invested in (compared to what was on the market) were:

  • More color and style options (basically endless customization)
  • Thicker aluminum framing
  • Cabinets designed from one sheet of metal instead of individual pieces screwed together
  • Combining machine-made hardware with hand-welded designs

All in all, we didn’t want a grill cabinet we wouldn’t be proud to use ourselves.  So, we paid special attention to details, like creating a drawer that doesn’t bend or fall out due to our custom-made heavy-duty glide.

In the end, we didn’t come up with the most expensive or elaborate grill cabinet on the market. But that was never what we wanted.

For beginner, intermediate, and expert BBQers, we highly recommend our grill cabinets.

The sleek design of our cabinets is made to simplify outdoor cooking—while lasting a lifetime.
