The Big Ben Rotisserie ("Big Ben" for short) transformed the way that Big Bull's Catering and Events did business. How?
It started when one of Big Bull's owners, Eli saw the Big Ben Rotisserie for the first time.
When Eli and his business partners Brenda, Lili, and Cesar first started Big Bull's, they used a giant bull-shaped smoker (hence the name Big Bull's).
But as more customers started showing up, Brenda, a co-owner of Big Bull's mentioned, "We couldn't keep up with the demand. We needed a bigger grill."
So when Eli saw the Big Ben Rotisserie at a horse auction in Michigan, Eli was struck by the grill's efficiency. Eli sent a video of the Big Ben Rotisserie to Cesar who quickly responded, "We need that. Where's this place at?"
After stopping in at Wellspring Components the following Monday, the rest was history.
Big Ben Rotisserie: A Better Way to Grill & Cater
Lili and Cesar stopped by Wellspring to view the Big Ben Rotisserie for themselves the Monday after Eli discovered the grill. Lili commented, "As soon as we met with you [Wellspring] and walked out, we said, 'We have to get it.'"
From there, the amount of meat and sides Big Ben could cook simultaneously was a gamechanger for Big Bull's.
Eli commented, "Big Ben has improved our business by a lot." Switching from the big bull smoker to the Big Ben Rotisserie made preparing and smoking chicken, pork, beef, and more within an hour possible.
Lili adds, "At the Covered Bridge Festival, over 2 million people walked that event. We would not have been able to be at that if it wasn't for Big Ben."

Big Ben Rotisserie: A Crowd-Pleasing Commercial Grill
Something that made Big Bull's stand out in crowds was Big Ben's rotisserie features.
The self-basting rotisserie grill was a selling point because customers could see the juices dripping as the meat was cooking.
On one occasion, Cesar noticed there wasn't a line for Big Bull's. After lifting the lid of the Big Ben Rotisserie, within five minutes, there was a line forming for the juicy chicken Big Bull's had on the menu.
Customers were so intrigued by the rotisserie grill, some even joked about getting a chair and watching the grill for hours.
But the crowds weren't the only ones who were impressed.
As a co-owner, Brenda commented, "The quality of the meat was so much better. It's juicier. It's not burnt because it's constantly rotating."
"We love the self-basting," Eli said, "I don't have to go in there and baste my chicken [...] I don't have to worry that my chicken's going to be dry [...] It's always moist."
Big Ben Rotisserie: A Timesaving Grill & Smoker
When it comes to catering, two things are top priority: saving time and providing a consistently delicious meal.
For Big Bull's the Big Ben Rotisserie offered time-saving technology and consistency.
"It cuts time. It cuts the work on basting and constantly flipping because all that is done by the grill already," says Brenda.
Lili chimed in and said, "If there's one thing we've learned in the food industry [it's] consistency. And with the Big Ben we have been able to be consistent with how our food looks from the pulled pork, from the mac 'n' cheese, from the corn, from the chicken, potatoes. Whenever the Big Ben lid is up, customers have asked, 'What is that? I want that.'"
With consistent results and less time spent watching each batch of meat or sides, Big Ben drastically changed how Big Bull's did business.
Big Bull's Wellspring Experience
While Big Ben was Big Bull's first connection to Wellspring's BBQ equipment, learning how to use the Big Ben Rotisserie with Wellspring's help was a bonus.
"Everybody there at Wellspring has always been there for questions," Eli began, "When we first got it, we called and [they said] '...This is what you do.' I didn't have to jump into something and be like, 'I don't know how to use this,'" Eli concluded.
After help with the startup, Big Bull's continued using Big Ben's daily without any issue.
"It's a 10/10 for sure," said Brenda, and Eli added, "Right now, we're in the process of getting a second one because we love the first one so much."
