Smoked Cod Recipe

Our Smoked Cod recipe features lightly seasoned cod fillets that are smoked to perfection. Ingredients

Fish

  • 3-4 oz. cod fillet
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • BGE Citrus & Dill Seasoning
  • 1 apple grilling plank

Tarter Sauce

  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour Cream
  • Pickle Relish
  • Mix to taste.

Salad

  • Leaf Lettuce
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Sliced Radishes
  • Sprinkling of Bacon & Ham
  • Chopped Hard Boiled Egg
  • Mix to taste.
  • Top it off with snippets of fresh olives and chive blossoms if available.
  • Use dressing of your choice.

Instructions

  1. Presoak wood plank & chips in water at least 1 hour. Heat up grill to about 350° F then choke back to 300°.
  2. Sprinkle Big Green Egg Citrus & Dill seasoning on all sides of fish. Sprinkle wood chips on charcoal or make a foil pouch for chips. Seal it on all sides, punch a couple 1/8” holes in foil and lay pouch on grate.
  3. Lay board with fish fillets directly on grill. Smoke and cook for 20 to 40 minutes or until flaky.
  4. Melt butter and brush on fish about 3 times during cooking.
